Spirituality

Spiritual development is a key focus at St. Raymond School.  Our students have opportunities, not just in religion class, but through a variety of activities, to explore and develop their faith.  Catholic tradition and prayer are important part of our identity.

Excellence

For over 50 years St Raymond has produced students who have gone on to become vibrant leaders in their schools and communities. Extracurricular

St. Raymond School recognizes that a well-rounded individual needs, not only on a strong academic foundation, but be exposed to a variety of extra-curricular activities.  At St. Raymond, students have the opportunity to engage in organized sports, clubs, etc.....

Making a Difference

Application Key Dates, Process & Forms

St. Raymond School is at full capacity for the 2011-2012 school year. Enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year is now in process.  Please see below for key dates and important steps in the application process. 

Key Dates:

  • Currently in progress- Application/Registration Forms accepted
  • Currently in progress  -                -------               -    Entrance testing for prospective students entering grades 1-8
  • Testing for incoming Kindergarteners will be individually scheduled upon completion of pre-registration.
  • Date to be determined - Information session for perspective parents, Q & A session with select teachers, current and former students.

1.  An application must be completed for each child seeking enrollment.  

  • There is a $40 non-refundable application fee per child (includes testing). 
  • Application forms must be completely filled out and signed by parents.
  • Incomplete applications and missing documents will delay your interview with the principal.
  • Kindergartners must be 5 years old by the September 1, 2012.

2.  The following documents are required for enrollment (originals only; copies will not be accepted) :

  • Birth Certificate / Social Security Number
  • Baptismal Certificate
  • Communion and Confirmation Certificate (if applicable)
  • Immunization Record (immunizations must be updated before the student can enter school)
  • Copy of latest report card, progress report, or letter from the pre-school teacher
  • Evaluation Form completed by last school attended (must be returned at least 3 days before the interview)
  • Parish Registration envelope number if you are a registered parishioner at St. Raymond Church

3.  Each child must take a placement test.  Your child will be scheduled for testing when the completed application is received by the school office.  Testing will be done after school, depending on the teacher's schedule.

4.  An appointment may be scheduled for you to meet with the principal after the testing is completed. 

5.  Acceptance letters will be mailed roughly two weeks after the test date or interview.

School Cents

It is time to start saving receipts for Lakewood, Stonewood and Cerritos Mall, receipts must be dated no earlier than September 15.  turn in receipts into the school office where specially marked envelopes are available.  Remember receipts from these malls, equals money for St. Raymond School.  All receipts count, whether it be for a cup of coffee, pretzel or a new outfit.  Save them all and ask friends and family to help.  Thank you for your continued support of the School Cents program.

PE Schedule

PE Classes for 2011-2012 school year will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. The PE schedule will be as follows:

K through 4th grade - Tuesday & Thursday

5th & 7th grade - Tuesday

6th & 8th grade - Thursday
